yeah same opinion here. After 4 patches the issue persists.

About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.'

This, it would be nice if someone from ED (maybe @BIGNEWY can ask for clarification) can tell us what happen with flat shadows since four patchs have been launched and the bug is still there:

Its really a bug or premeditated?
If its really a bug what happen? Some change on regular shadows are causing problem on flat ones?
If its not a bug, why the change? What benefits? Becaus it looks the same as regular ones and his perfomance drop its the same too

It would be great to have some transparency about this problem? that way we, at least, can manage our expectations on this

Apologies for the poor quality, don't know how to adjust the inbuilt headsets record functionality yet so it'll be hard to make out. This is a recording from Enigmas Cold War, shadows set to medium. With shadows off I can maintain 70+ FPS in the hind with all other settings at the same value. With shadows medium, this happens when I look anywhere near the frontline:

There is effectively a breaking point where FPS will suddenly tank, just when I start turning towards frontline ground units that are over 10km away. The moment my view gets anywere near them (they're actually on my 3'oclock), "parseobj" goes way up and "update" skyrockets.

Don't know if it's useful info for the devs or not, but there it is.
