CaptCanada Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Hi all I just want to ask if anyone else had trouble paying for BS via the Protx system? I entered my Visa number and the other info, only to get an error message stating the the card range was not supported by the system. I didn't have any spaces in the number and tried a few times with no success. I have sent an email to the webmaster, but thought I would post a thread here to see if there is a solution from the other members. Thanks!
RockStar Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I used a VISA debit from USA with no issues at all. Rock on, be strong!
CaptCanada Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Hmm, I wonder what is wrong then? I live in Canada so I wonder what gives?
TheMoose Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Hmm, I wonder what is wrong then? I live in Canada so I wonder what gives? I'm from Canada and had no issues with the payment. Make sure you follow the instruction carefully; you need to enter authorization number (usually 3 digits) behind your card, to process it. CaptCanada Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 I entered all the fields correctly, even the authorization number on the back of my card. I still got the error message on the page.
geogob Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Is it a visa debit card or a credit card? I think the identification number sequences are different. That may be the problem.
Boulund Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I'm from Sweden with a swedish issued VISA. My card is most definitely a "debit card" but when I entered this information into the protx-system it just wouldn't go. Changed it to a "credit card" (even though it surely is not; have my credit-stuff deactivated) and it worked like a charm =) Hope this helps Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1. CaptCanada Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 Well, I am sure it is a Visa Credit Card, issued from Chase Bank. I applied for it on the BestBuy.ca website, though I am sure that is not the problem when using it to buy BS from here?
Guest whoodie Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Well, I am sure it is a Visa Credit Card, issued from Chase Bank. I applied for it on the BestBuy.ca website, though I am sure that is not the problem when using it to buy BS from here? Try entering it as a VISA Debit card. I had the same issues as you and ended up using too many attempts to authorize it and it will not take my card. Then I used my MasterCard and it worked fine. Hope you get your issues resolved soon, I hear this game is great!
TheMoose Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Why don’t you contact visa for support? Tell them what you want to do and get their assistance...
