Feller-Buncher Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 I did google and searched the forum. Can't find the answer. The A-10C had a non-realistic DSMS page to change the codes on the GBU-10 and GBU-12 bombs. The F-14 has a special Kneeboard page. Am I correct that with the A-10Cii the is (currently) no way to do this? If that is the case, is it planned? Thanks in advance.

To do what exactly? Changing laser codes on the bombs? As you said yourself, there is the non-realistic option to do that on the DSMS inventory page. Feller-Buncher Posted November 23, 2022 Author Posted November 23, 2022 Stupid me, I was searching in the Profile. Thanks. Found it. 1
Falconeer Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) Still i think it should be changed. The A-10C and F-18 are the only module where laser codes for the bombs can be changed inflight, which is totally unrealistic. These codes can only be set on the CCG of the bomb itself using a flathead screwdriver (which is kind of hard to do inflight ) There is no interface (cable connection) between the bomb and airplane. ASAP Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 It would be more realistic to set it in the mission editor and then you’re stuck with it… but since you can’t actually do a walk around of your jet and set the code yourself they gotta give the pilot some way to set the code you want. I believe the real jet actually lets you put the laser code of the bomb in the DSMS inventory the way DCS does. It doesn’t change anything on the bomb but it shows the laser code to the pilot and if you have two LGBs with different laser codes it would step through them separately when cycling profiles. So what we have is pretty realistic with the one compromise of it actually changing the code set in the CCG. 1 1
