HP Reverb G2.

I have a 6800XT and bought one - it worked very well, I was just a bit disappointed with the off-center clarity and the FOV felt a little small.  So I returned it.

But HP had a black friday sale where it was only $299.  So I bought it again.  DCS without VR is just not as good - especially if you have the Apache.  VR is almost mandatory IMHO.

You should be good to use any of the HMD not exceeding 4k.

Get the best VR HMD that you can afford.  You want one that is capable of the highest possible native resolution your money can buy because you can always "de-tune" the graphics settings to match your hardware.  If you get one with a lower native resolution, you end up having to use more and more supersampling to make it look decent, and the whole supersampling process is the biggest performance killer for any headset/GPU/CPU combination.

Absolutely. IMHO Reverb G2 is still best value for the buck for flight sims.
