Majoji333 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 I've been toying with the idea for a while now that it would be good to have armed or anti-aircraft train modules in DCS. I would like to make it possible on my server to send a convoy of supplies by train at railway line. But without any defense they are an easy target. That is why I would like to know if it is possible to create something like the one in the photos. If anyone is able and willing to advise how to create such a unit. thx 1
Hawkeye60 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 I was chatting with Drummernl about this. I wanted to make my own trains, which would then travel on the in sim tracks. To do this, they must have the correct "type" designated in the main lua file. I can share the lua files he sent me to try, Send me a PM. But I have had no luck getting any to show in sim. As a wheeled vehicle is easy. But they will not stay on the tracks. A un-armed train should be easy you would think! There are 3 hidden train carriage models for WWII German Flak in the game already,but are not active yet & can only be viewed with the Model Viewer. So hopefully ED are planing to make Flak wagons & AA part of the Train components. But they have been there for over a year, so seems they are not rushing to do so! Actually Hawkeye60 kindly extracted them for me, a while back - but as stationary only.
