Collective brake as a special option.

I don't even understand how this feature works in sim, I mean, what is it for ?

Real controls have hydraulic clutch a bit like TRIM REL but for collective. Considering our hardware nature, I don't get it

Maybe some have a collective with the whole thing simulated?
That brake has a switch on it that tells the AP you want to move collective so it shouldn't fight you in case the altitude channel is on ans altitude is maintained by AP. Same feature is pressent for Rudder pedals and simply deactivates automatically the heading hold but usually some microswitches in the pedals would signal the AP that you want it to suspend its actions. Some have those switches or wants them simulated so the option now exists... much to my struggle to disable the thing 😄 but...
So Tarres wants same thing for Collective.

There is a button for the collective brake since BS 2 . If u are in altitude hold mode. U need to press the button to put the hold mode to standby and to release it will tell the system your new altitude.
I don’t understand why u want this button to work like in the mi-24 …. Move your collective without pressing the button or brake lever will not allow u to move the collective in the sim … and desync your hotas.

why u don’t just push this button/lever all the time if u move the collective?
if u need a physical clutch on your hotas  than build/modify something similar on your hotas/collective.
(I believe it is possible with a brakedisk and a cycle brake lever and a button that’s connected to the lever- that’s my next project for my winwing collective)
