PhenexM86 Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 (edited) I encountered a strange flame out situation in my Eagle, always while being low altitude (take off or just low pass while doing aerobatic above the runway). Inside I have the Left engine fire alert and Oil, ECS, hyd press failure lights on but the plane don't suffer that much (or I don't notice it). A fellow flying buddy had experienced the same while doing low flying with his J-11A in the mountain. I had the bird option at 1000/1000, he can't tell me if he's when I'm writting. We're then wondering if it simulate the bird strike or if it's a generalized bug for FC3 jets?... allready thanks for the supposed answer! Edited December 21, 2022 by BanagherLinks
Solution WHOGX5 Posted December 21, 2022 Solution Posted December 21, 2022 Yes, it's the bird strike option that does it. Most people keep it turned off. -Col. Russ Everts opinion on surface-to-air missiles: "It makes you feel a little better if it's coming for one of your buddies. However, if it's coming for you, it doesn't make you feel too good, but it does rearrange your priorities." ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 7, 2023 ED Team Posted January 7, 2023 Thanks for the track check your DCS settings for bird strikes your current value ["birds"] = 1000, If you do not want random engine issues its best to disable or lower the value Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
