Michi.G85 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Could you please add the option to set the gun trigger protection to an On/Off setting (= Button) like in the BS2? The new one is set up as a switch which makes it pretty difficult to set it correctly on a Warthog HOTAS.
LeCuvier Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I don't know what you are referring to as "gun trigger protection". To the best of my knowledge, there is no gun safety latch as in WWII fighters. Please provide the correct name of the binding so we know what you are talking about. He means the Trigger to switch from vikhrs/missiles to gun and Vice versa. In BS2 there was a Toggleswitch. In BS3 is now a Button for gun off and a Button for on. Don´t know what the english name is, since I use the german version. But @Schlomo1933 knows what I mean... 51 minutes ago, Schlomo1933 said: He means the Trigger to switch from vikhrs/missiles to gun and Vice versa. In BS2 there was a Toggleswitch. LeCuvier Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 You are talking about the Gun Select Switch. That's not a gun safety latch but now I see what your problem is. Although I'm German I use the English version, because I don't trust translations. And in the English version that button command is still there. I have bound it to the Flip Trigger on my VRP stick and it works fine. So my conclusion is that it's a problem of the translated version. Whoever maintains the German version of the "default.lua" has unintentionally deleted the .lua line of code which reads {down = iCommandPlaneModeCannon, name = _('Gun Select'), category = _('Ins Cyclic Stick')}, If you are willing to edit the "default.lua" it's very easy to fix, and you can replace 'Gun Select' with something deutsch.. 1 LeCuvier Windows 10 Pro 64Bit | i7-4790 CPU |16 GB RAM|SSD System Disk|SSD Gaming Disk| MSI GTX-1080 Gaming 8 GB| Acer XB270HU | TM Warthog HOTAS | VKB Gladiator Pro | MongoosT-50 | MFG Crosswind Pedals | TrackIR 5
Schlomo1933 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Im also German, and use the English version with the vkb gunfighter mk3 and the flip trigger. But with separate on / off commands. Works like a charm

But with separate on / off commands. Works like a charm That's neat; but with the flip trigger on the original VRP T-50 stick I cannot do that, because the "flip-up" doesn't generate any signal. IThe flip trigger is just another button that's activated when I pull the flip trigger in its DOWN position. Newer VRP grips provide a separate switch for the UP position. But I can live with the single button functionality as the KA-50 HUD shows clearly what mode I'm in. Red Yeti Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Why don't you just use the same binding as the C key on your keyboard?
grimnir Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 I'm a bit late to the party, but perhaps you are looking for something like this?
