Has anyone tried the latest universal trigger?

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6289942/files

I printed a set but it's very different in the grip compared to the original one (all-black).

I used:

So which one do I print for F-5E and the "wife's hair clip boosted" trigger with TheSimNet_Trigger_Housing.stl ?

What's left is Trigger 1 and 4 and I don't see bottom cams in neither (for actuation of the bottom-mounted micro switches).

I personally recommend Trigger 4, it's what I use and I like the feel of it the best in my F-5 setup! It is dual stage - the small canted lip will interact with both microswitches. There is another trigger with a more aggressive cam surface, however I have noticed that the return from the second stage can get sticky.

Trigger 4 is 2 stage and the best bet for the F-5!

Hello @_BringTheReign_
I also want to print the cool B8 handle and have loaded the new version 2.5. I noticed that the handle has 4 holes for attaching the insert. But there is only one hole in the insert itself. Have I loaded the wrong file?

Might be an error. There are still errors in the BOM as well, as far as I remember.

@Bucic & @Red Yeti  please accept my sincere apologies. I have updated the .zip on the thingiverse page, and I have also attached the correct part to this message.

Bucic I would be most happy to correct any errors you may find, and I apologize if they have caused any confusion.

Happy building, folks!

@_BringTheReign_No worries. You're doing god's works. As for BOM errors I wouldn't say they were critical unless someone orders nuts and bolts with not a single spare. Please take a look at our email (subject line: F-5 century series grip - availability of units for sale) and forum PM conversations. I just did and can't see those BOM notes, sorry. I'm sure I mentioned it).

Probably a stupid question but:
How do you print the housing of the trigger?
When I try to remove the supports, I tear the two ‘nests’ of the buttons with them.

Usually the trigger housing is printed without supports, that helps prevent tearing

I finally finished my handle today.
It wasn't that expensive at around €50 for the materials. It was also a lot of fun (except for the soldering! I don't like that at all!)
I turned and milled the tube and the nut out of aluminum in the hope that it would withstand the FFB forces.
Nice tinkering project. Thanks for sharing the files!

Looks great! Is there any known source for suitable metal nuts (e.g., Thrustmaster spare parts, some kind of plumbing parts, a cheap place to order it custom made)? I'm considering building this for use on a RealSimulator FSSB base, but I'm not sure whether I can 3D print strong enough parts for that.

I couldn't find anything suitable made of metal. So the only option was to make it myself.
The alternative would be to have it 3D printed from aluminium, like _BringTheReign_ did, I think.
