winghunter Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 (edited) Does the 4090 manufacturer matter ? And is 1000W enough for the power supply ? alfred2704 Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 With Intel 13th gen I'd rather go with DDR5 at least 6400. 1
Ben Diss Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 The i7-13700 is the sweet spot CPU as we don't use any efficiency cores. Agree on Alfred's comment on RAM, but if that's a combo that includes a 4090, I'd be tempted to do it anyway. 1

SharpeXB Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Go for a 2TB hard drive. I believe I could add a 2TB SDD as a second drive later on ? Depending on your aptitude and desire to do so. I have a 2TB NVMe for the OS and DCS plus MSFS. It’s half full already. But I have two other drives for a total of 7TB. Games are routinely 100GB these days so those fill up fast. 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
winghunter Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 (edited) Hm I cant seem to find a complete PC system with a 4090 and DDR5 6400 within the EU. Im not a self-builder though i can swap memory or GFX card but then i would have to sell the other parts. Is there a good site where you can completely configure your system and get it shipped in the EU? alfred2704 Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 You should look for online shops with configurator functionality if you don't want to build it by yourself. In Spain we have: https://www.wipoid.com/configurar-pc/ https://www.ldlc.com/es-es/configurador-pc/ https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador I'm sure there are some in your country also. 1

Overclockers.co.uk will likely have something for you but you might get hit with silly brexit inflation.
