correct as is Unresponsive ATC for request landing

In 1st contact with any tower they usually tell you bearing, range, atmospheric pressure and runway number.

Then you wait that they respond with "cleared for visual, contact tower"

and then I try to contact them back on the same frequency as before to request for landing, but no response from them.... until almost the last second before touch down. This is the same procedure on all airports and on all maps.

Same discussion was going on way back here, but this has to be some sort of a bug.

No, it’s currently the way it is by design. You won’t get landing clearance until you’re on final and right around the outer marker (5 km or so from landing). They’re working on an updated ATC. But, until it arrives, this is what we’ve got.
