Redwing_204 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Same here. Was working fine earlier today prior to the update.
Redwing_204 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Ok, here's a possible fix - it's working for me. Hope you have some success with this too. Run OpenXR Toolkit Companion app, and deselect Open_Composite_DCS (DCS.exe). Run OpenXR Toolkit Companion app as usual. Run XRNeckSafer as usual. (I'm running the Beta 5a version of Necksafer). Cheers, Redwing 2
Hellcat Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 Thanks ... I'll give that a try! i7-9700K @ 5.0 l MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus MB l 32GB DDR4 2400 Ram l Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB M.2 l EVGA 3080 FTW l Win10 Pro l WarBRD/Warthog Hotas l VKB MkIV rudder Pedals l Reverb G2
STKDirty Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Same here. for me, in the F18, my JHMCS would work, but the rest of the plane wouldn't. I'll try the fix, thanks!
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I use Pico4 and so I need the customised OpenVR API DLL and Steam OpenXR, so no problem for me. I have made a short vid using it. I Fly, Therefore I Am. One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you? Indyplumber Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 update has broken my xrnecksafer. I have mobility issues so this is a must for me in VR. Mr_sukebe Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 After the recent update, my necksafer broke. Hoever, I uninstalled it, downloaded the latest beta, installed that last night, and it’s working perfectly with DCS using forced OpenXR. 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Levi_T Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Hello Everyone! I tried VRNS with SteamVR and XRNS with OpenXR in DCS, but unfortunately it didn't work. I went through everything step by step that is on this website https://gitlab.com/NobiWan/xrnecksafer, but unfortunately nothing helps. It is interesting that VRNS works without errors in IL2, I only have problems with DCS. What am I messing up? I

Qcumber Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Which version of DCS are you running and how are you connecting your headset? If I connect my rift s through Oculus running MT beta in openxr then I can use XRNS fine, although I have some issues with lateral displacement that I am still trying to work out. With the Pico 4 and virtual desktop through steam VR I have to disable XRNS in the steam VR settings otherwise DCS crashes. However, VRNS works fine. DCS is the latest version, connected with the headset cable. VRNS doesn't work for me either in DCS, but IL2 is perfect with VRNS. I have no idea what the problem could be, I do everything according to the description, opencomposite, I also copy the dll file, but it still refuses to work.

Are you connected through a usb cable using Oculus software? If you are using the latest stable version then this should using openxr so you should be able to use XRNS. IL-2 does not natively support open xr so you would need to use open composite to bypass steam VR runtime. It would allow you to use XRNS with DCS and IL-2. I hope this makes sense. It can be quite confusing. You might also want to try using virtual desktop as it can give better performance than Oculus link (so I believe). j9murphy Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 I am able to configure a joystick button for centering in XRNS and have the same button for VR Center defined in DCS, however XRNS does not seem to recognize when the button is pushed... any ideas?
