Capn kamikaze Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 It may just be my perception of it, when you look at things like trees and power lines, they seem to be about 200% scale compared to other things, for example if you compare them to the cars on nearby roads, they should be about half the height they are. This probably effects other things too. 1

WinterH Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) I believe this is also somewhat map dependent. Caucasus map's trees are kinda insane yeah. I admit there can be trees of that size, but they'd be exceptions, rather than basically the entire population, especially for urban areas where you'd expect trees to be younger. Those on Syria are less insane I think. I don't fly other maps often enough to say anythin on the trees on those, infnact I only have Marianas and Channel other than Caucasus and Syria. Bigger trees to require less of them does make some sense to be honest though. MAXsenna Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 @WinterHI believe you are correct. I was having the Caucasian trees in mind. (Even if one them is called Norwegian Birch, they won't get as tall up here ).Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk

That is exacly the map I was thinking of, sure you get some species that sometimes grow to huge preportions, but as you say not the entire population. The same thing kind of goes for the pylons, sure you get some special designs for special purposes, but most of them are about half the height shown on the Caucasus map. 1
RuskyV Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 While not a fix, I use Taz’s better trees (low version) not only do I get a bit better performance but it also stops that awful tree popping you get with the default trees on the caucus map. He’s also done ones for Syria. ED should just adopt these trees as default, the texture size is reduce by a good amount and they look vastly better to my eyes. 1
