Soundman766 Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Searched this issue with no success but have noticed the autopilot disengages if/when viewing the map (F10). Is it just me, and/or, should this be happening?
razo+r Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Check any double bindings. My Autopilot didnt disengage last time I had it on and changed to F10 map.
Chain_1 Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 There are certain conditions which will disconnect the autopilot. What were your flight parameters at the time? If you put the gear down or set the air refuel switch to open, for example, it would disengage. I couldn't get it to disconnect just by going to the F10 map.
Soundman766 Posted February 11, 2023 Author Posted February 11, 2023 Thanks 'Razzo' and 'Chain' for the reply. If you can't duplicate, I'll keep digging. That said.. it seems to happen when inbound on a target, then shortly after entering the map, hear an audio warning alerting me. Upon escaping F10 (Map) menu find myself at slow speed and sometimes spiraling out of control and in need of recovery. Usually I can recover in time, but.... Per your suggestion did look for 'double bindings' but found none, so I'm at a loss and will try to narrow it down further and reply with what I find. @ Chain.... This wasn't a gear down or changing of switching situation you mention.
razo+r Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Going by that description I'd say you just fly too slow. But to be sure, attach a track. 1
