Bug: The AI AV-8Bs don't RTB when assigned to attack a ground group (CAS) and cannot destroy it entirely for some reason, such as due to a lack of armament (winchester). Instead, they fly to some random place until they crash or leave the map limits.

Can I reproduce it 100%: Yes.

If not 100%, how often out of 10: Not applicable.

How to reproduce/ description:

Step1: Check out the attached missions/tracks (only AIs are flying). When they completely destroy the ground group, they are able to RTB. Otherwise, they fly off to nowhere.

DCS Version: OpenBeta 2.8.2.35759. The bug also happens with previous versions.

Hi @Jambock and thank you for your detailed report.

The AV-8B zombie syndrome is apparently caused by the GBU-54 in specific cases. This has been fixed internally a few days ago. In ED internal build, your tracks shows both Harriers drop all their bombs then RTB. 👍 The fix should be in the next OB update.

Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever.
