dutchili Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 The rudder seems to deflect automatically when rolling. This causes a lot of unwanted slip during rolls. Can this be switched off?
razo+r Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Are you sure it adds slip? Adding rudder should normally decrease it. But no, I don't think there is a way to disable it, and there also should not be a need to disable it.
dutchili Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 It slips when you roll quickly. And if it doesn't: it is still not what i want it to do. @BIGNEWY: is there an option / script to disable it?
TEOMOOSE Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 It is part of the FLCS system. In short the ARI (Aileron–Rudder Interconnect), and the Yaw SAS (Stability Augmentation System) control adverse yaw and minimize side slip in the normal flight AOA conditions. The (ARI) should also be able to suppress the roll which i think is not the case in Dcs. Maybe @BIGNEWY has more info on this. PS.: cannot disable it. 1
darkman222 Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Also check for unwanted assigned axis. Often rudders are connected by default to other axis that make no sense at all.
