bonesvf103 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 If I go to the HSI, select UFC, then select GRID on the UFC, I get the grid on the right MFD. I hold down the TDC button, slew over to the grid I want, then release the TDC. The grid coordinate has an underline that blinks once then disappears. That's it. I can't enter coordinates because the underline never stays. What is wrong? v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. Solution Tholozor Posted February 28, 2023 Solution Posted February 28, 2023 You don't need to hold the TDC down when moving the cursor to select a grid square. Just put the cursor over the grid square and depress the TDC once (just make sure the cursor doesn't move afterwards, or it'll remove the selection). 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
rob10 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 What Tholozor said. If you have problems when you're doing it that way, you might need a 1 or 2 dead zone on your TDC cursor controls. It's very sensitive to any movement from it (even if it doesn't appear to be moving on the MFD). 1
bonesvf103 Posted February 28, 2023 Author Posted February 28, 2023 OK, thanks guys! I was wondering if it could be that, thanks for the tip. I'll try it and see if it helps. If anything I can always keystroke it. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. bonesvf103 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Yup, confirmed, it works now. This may also explain why when I edsignate a ground target with my JHMCS, the diamond suddenly slews away from the designation point! v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. skippy12094 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Hi everyone. I am having the same issue, but dead zones nor saturation will help me. I have no idea how to fix this. It did happen to me once before, a couple years ago, and I forget how I fixed it. It seems like adding dead zone and saturation from DCS doesn't affect the result. I am using joystick gremlin also. I have added a response curve to that axis in there as well, but no joy. Does anyone have any ideas other than <profanity>-canning this Thrustmaster 16000M hotas set?

Try temporarily setting your TDC DEPRESS to something that's independent of your TDC controller (i.e. a different button rather than an actual depress of your TDC controller) and keep your finger off your controller when you depress the other button (you might be causing movement as you press which will make it not work). If it still isn't working set your deadzone to something like 25 or 30 and see if it works just to confirm you're getting tiny input from it even if it's not obvious. Almost always this issue tracks back to tiny movements of your TDC controller. Also check that you don't have any extra bindings for the controller.
