As titled.

When one hooks a symbol on the TAD an alphanumeric string appears in the lower-left next to OSB 16, such as "G2A4B+R" in the first attachment (itself a snippet from page 369 of the A-10C II manual),image.png

or "F1433" in the pictur below (circled).image.jpegDo these strings carry any meaning?null

F1433 I’m

pretty sure means the E-3 you have hooked has 143,000 lbs of fuel remaining

the G2A4B+R is the weapons load out that it is reporting over the link.
I rarely look at it so I’m a little fuzzy on what the letters mean. I think it’s something like Gun, 2 A/A missiles, 4 bombs, rockets. But I could be wrong about what exactly they break out to.

I think one suite used osb16 to show their flight number and ship number within that, however 1433 would not be valid for such a number, so it could be a made up EDism, or something that has changed with the suites.

This makes a lot of sense, appreciated. Any source where I may look up on the specific nomenclature?

The fuel value F**** is the only thing you’ll see in DCS.
The weapon load symbols/description has never been implemented. (Maybe back in VERY early days, if I remember like 2010, but long since gone).
