Reslox Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 DCS crashes on launch (MT version only), tried Cleaning up, slow repair, removing all shaders and mods alongside renaming the DCS saved game folder. Uploading MT log,SC log and dxdiag dcs.log DxDiag.txt dcs_non_MT.log 1
Reslox Posted March 11, 2023 Author Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Was able to avoid the crash by going into the BIOS and changing the amount of active cores to 1 instead of all. uploading the Logs files I was able to get from it. Changing back to the default amount causes the crash again. All of this was done after renaming the SavedGames/DCS folder, Running a cleanup and a slow repair. Reslox Posted March 12, 2023 Author Posted March 12, 2023 @FlappieAny help here? I tried Updating windows/drivers/BIOS and no joy, If I temper with the BIOS or with MS config and change the amount of cores to 1 it is able to get past the crash, anything else doe sn't make it in. dcs.log dcs-MSCONFIGEDITS.log
addman Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 My MT-exe also crashes on startup. I see in your DXdiag you have an i3 I think it's the CPU I also have a dual core CPU with HT, Pentium G7400.
Flappie Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Hi. Can you please make sure that Hyperthreading is enabled in your PC BIOS? @Reslox @addman Also, please check this: 1 ---

The only attempts so far that have been able to bypass the crash are to disable 1 of the cores (Dual-core CPU). As soon as both of the cores are active the crash starts happening. (Tried with 1 core 1 and 2 threads, 2 cores 3 and 4 threads).

If MSAA is off the missions crash in the load screen. MSAA at x2 and the missions load. You’re right, I enabled MSAA X2 but it kept crashing so I up the scale to MSAA X4 and it worked. I I tested it a few times just incase and it works. Thank you
