Mission five clarification required

So far this has been an excellent campaign. Having the same issues with the multithreading version, I E the cockpit lighting. On the last night mission my UV lighting faded too and I was left shining a torch on instruments! Still managed to score hits on 4 of the German aircraft destroying 2 and amazingly my wingman managed to destroy one!

Have now got to the Jericho mission and the briefing doesn't really make clear whether or not the second wave follows the same split route as the first wave. In other words, do I fly the approach following the Albert to Amiens Rd with the second section attacking north-south?

Once again congratulations on delivering an absolute masterpiece the immersion using VR is intense!

Thanks, I’m glad you like it and are having fun.

as for the Jericho mission, check the briefing pdf it explains it all:

you fly in following 487. At the IP you make a 360 to put your squadron a few minutes behind the first one. (Dai will also remind you)

both squadrons split up and attack from 2 directions.  First flight to follow the road, second flight to detach and attack from the north.

you’re the lead flight of the 2nd squadron/ wave so you just follow the road.

let me know if you need more help and good luck.

I'm going to have a go at it tonight. Did a previous version and it went OK apart from having to pop up to bomb. My bombing is hopeless so I think I probably killed more prisoners than guards. Having the option to bomb at low level will make things a bit easier.

LOL...Yea I hear you with the issues.  I was playing ST and there are a lot of issues there too.  The UV light did work on the previous night mission though.

Definitely a DCS MT bug as both the cockpit lights and the UV work fine if I use the ST version.

Completed the Jericho raid although my bombing was terrible. Outran the fighters didn't cook my engines and dodged most of the flak. It would be really nice if you could get the navigator / bomb aimer to aim the bombs. He told me steady but didn't tell me when to release! Another brilliant mission and I got a DFC for it! I might give it another go and get the bombs more on target but not for a while. I need to recover. On to Doodlebugs, Buzzbombs and Divers!

I made it to within sight of the English coast (at a casual cruising pace with the rest of the form) and got gunned down by a FW190 I didn't realise had chased us all the way haha. I ran it in multiplayer and the fog made it very very difficult to see anything, going to retry in ST now.

This mission 😃 😃 😃

Soooo satisfying to finally see the English coast in the foggy distance. Since we all seemed to split up after the raid, I was on my own navigation-wise for the return home, save for two wingmen desperately trying to keep up with me.

I think I did pretty well... At least I destroyed a few ground objects (I don't recall what they were exactly). But following the road to Amiens, then seeing the smoke and then the prison complex quickly appear ahead, then the split-second course corrections and bomb release, then getting the heck out of there. Awesome experience!

Edit - though when getting to the Channel after leaving France, I didn't climb to 3000 since the artificial horizon didn't seem to want to work. Not sure why. Anything above 1000 because of the weather I couldn't see the sea, so I had to stay low to keep myself oriented.
