orangepeel Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Currently when telling George to slave to our line of sight, he slaves to where we're looking just fine. It's what he does after which I would wish for an adjustment to be made to make our lives in the back seat a bit easier. After he slaves and doesn't see anything, the TADS sort of locks into the 'o'clock' position which he was slaved to. I was wondering whether it be possible to make it so that George keeps the TADS pointing at the same bit of ground even when nothing is spotted. This way we won't have to look outside the cockpit again to re-adjust George, re-slave him and re-initiate a rescan of the same compound that we're orbiting for example. Sort of like how the point track mode works in the targeting pod of the A10. Let me know if what I'm trying to get across doesn't make sense as I'll try to elaborate further. I don't exactly know how this forum works but if you think this would be a descent adjustment than give this a '+1' maybe to show the devs. 1
shagrat Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 This is a pretty cool idea. In the future, when George hopefully learns to search for targets on his own, this can be a kind of master mode, like the current "consent to fire ( button press )" and "free fire (George engages targets on his own)". In principle this would be a "monitor this spot" command. 3 Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)

GremlinIV Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 I guess this would be a Down Long on George to search again in same area even if he finds nothing, which i think the wording for Down Long already implies, i have likely never searched the same LOS twice if george finds nothing - so it could be it does this already... If not +1
