Would be nice to have the full CCIP cockpit with the black plates on the center pedestal and the engine instruments. Combined with yellow symbology mod it would perfect.

would be nice if you could upload a picture, maybe if ED dosent some one will make a cockpit mod

No indication that this is possible for an OFP 4.2

thank you

If you take a look at the tomcat or hornet they have a ton of weapons and sensors but for the viper there is not as many plus if you keep it in this state its going to get boring. for instance the KA50 we get to choose between early and late varients. I would like to see a similar option for the viper 🙂

Those F-16s are using a newer tape, you're talking about a 10-year time difference.

There are many photos of US F-16С (before CCIP update) cockpits (the photos were taken in the early 2000s). All these cockpits have a single black plate around the altimeter, airspeed indicator, attitude indicator, vertical speed and AOA indicators on the central instrument panel. This black plate is clearly visible in the video above.
Now, it seems to me, that the cockpit of the DCS F-16 is very similar to the cockpit of the European F-16, not the US one.

Right, my response was in regards to the previous post regarding the MFD text color.

In regards to the original topic, here's some examples of older models with the black plate (a fair number of EPAF units also have the black plate):

So it's been a few months and no response. The question, in my opinion, is quite important as it concerns the visual component of the cockpit.
I am forced to repeat that all US F 16s and most European F 16s had additional black panels in the cockpits on the center pedestal and right console (engine instruments) already in early 2000-2001. There are many photo-video cockpits with these panels, including in this thread.
It is not clear, why we did not initially receive such a cockpit. In any case, in my opinion, it is not very difficult to model these panels and equip the cockpit with them, perhaps as an option.
I understand that this is a trifle and many do not pay attention to it. But, we see that DCS is working on the appearance of aircrafts, pilot models, flight helmets. But to modify the cocpit F-16CM 2007 to the form that it has in reality, DCS is in no hurry and does not mention it.
It is strange that the developers leave the question related to the elements of the cockpit unanswered. I'm still waiting comments on this issue.

Sorry if I'm not writing very well. English is not my native language.
