I was flying the first chapter of the Georgian Oil Campaign, and during one of the missions, I exited to go eat, I came back to replay the campaign, and I see that I have been defeated and I cannot continue that campaign!

I dont want to restart it, is there a way I can change something in the .lua files to fix the problem?

Can't help you with the editing. Have read that it can be done however.

Why don't you just load up each campaign mission via the editor. That way you can enjoy ALL the missions without the hassle of repeating any if you muck up or exit to go for a c&%p ;)

FYI, if you have a campaign that is locked because you lost a mission, you can actually go back in the Missions, select that exact mission and when you finish it, your campaign will be back to being active and continue where you left off, before the defeat!

It helped with my little problem!

I'm in my Mac at the moment but I believe its in:

Ka50/Black Shark/data/scripts/logbook/player.lua

Sorry but that's probably not exactly right and therefore not much help. If you do find the logbook lua you can scroll down to you current campaign and get the entire mission history. You will also find a Stage with only a mission file and no other data. that is your next mission. You can change it with Notebook++. In the end, it is still easier to just play each mission from the editor.

My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.

cool tips! thank you!...i just went ahead and restarted, because in my method, it did unlock the campaign again, and the count of missions completed was correct, but it restarted from the first mission :P so it could be a bug perhaps?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh it just got me too, it's done it a few times but I thought i'd cracked it!

I started the mission,

realised I hadn't turned TrackIR on,

exited (after unpausing - i thought this saved the mission state to 'replay'),

restarted game -

reverted to Previous Mission!

I wouldn't really mind, but i've just copied down in detail onto a notepad the mission brief, threats etc (as you can't print it out).

This is a real PIA to be honest. I wanted to finish the campaign rather than fly the missions individually, but it looks like it's going to be an uphill battle to do that.
