illuzian Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Hey Guys, Has anyone had any issues in Turn To Target mode for example: If I enable Turn To Target and I'm hovering but I try to rotate or change pitch to line up a target the Ka-50 dives crazily. Is this normal? Initially I thought this was due to my rudder pedal toe break being assigned to my pitch axis but I cleared this and it still does this on occasion. DCS Dream Wishlist: 1. LoyalNine Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Let the T2T do the work for you - do not fight it. Flip it on only when you need it. illuzian Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 I generally do but If the T2T does not line it up correctly I have to make small adjustments and sometimes this very tiny adjustments have a dramatic effect on aircraft stability. Madman777 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 reset TRIM and let go of the controls usually does the trick for me. i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules
Boberro Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Turn to target is not full auto function which do all for us. Small corrections often are needed - really small. Often in my case T2T sets position from which I could immadietly fire without doing any adjustements - I guess I had well trimmed chopper before. So trim it carefully and all will be fine :) Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... illuzian Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 The situation is: T2T turns to target but not exactly Ka50 is now hovering WITHOUT movement Press the rudder with MINOR input Ka50 pitches dramaticly down This occurs occaisionaly. No pitch input is given only rudder. DCS Dream Wishlist: 1. Better VR Performance/Performance Overall 2. Dynamic Campaign, 3. Fully Modelled: F16, F18, F14, F15, AH64, AH1, MI24, SU27, MIG29, EF Typhoon 4. Better ATC
S3PukkU Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 You should push ctrl+enter to see the command inputs. If the helo was turning wildly or something like that, it would probably be a stability problem. But pitching down? There may be something else going on...
