The gun is powered by air pressure from the engine. I'm guessing you're closing the throttle in your dive? Can't remember the exact parameters rpm wise. 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
Kaktus Posted April 25, 2023 Author Posted April 25, 2023 omg for real.. not sure though.. i do trottle back a bit. do i have to go supersonic.. what a dumb way to "fire" a gun..will try again..
Kaktus Posted April 25, 2023 Author Posted April 25, 2023 ok it works, wow, but now i don't know speed minimum i need, so i just crash into the target supersonic going brrr..lol..not exactly but not far from the truth..oh well.

It's perfectly usable as long as you dint start your run at 100ft 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
Aernov Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Required RPM varies with speed and altitude, for ground attack keeping RPM at or above 70% will cover all speeds above 0.5 M for altitudes below 5000 ft.
JackHammer89 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Try diving from 12600ft agl, 3nm from target, roll-in to a 30 degree nose down, aim for 550 KTAS in speed (for forward firing ordnance, also that should keep your throttle open enough), pull up by 3000 feet AGL. 1
Kaktus Posted April 27, 2023 Author Posted April 27, 2023 thank you guys for all of this, didn't know, and most youtube tutorials skip this "obvious" part..its just click, this, click that..yea yeah, ..and then nothing happens lol.. i need serious tutorial in INS,NAV,FLIR,TPOD,DTM, and T00 target of opportunity-how to delete the target points once you created them, i don't want to skip 10 points to get to my target?
Ich Dien Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) The tutorial missions are still good for 90% of the content. One has a dodgy trigger zone that can be moved in the ME. Other than that, the only content that's seriously out of date is TPOD related, but it's all covered in Chuck's guide and hopefully in future manual releases, so still productive to use the missions if only for easy target setup/repeatability. Some things are easier than others, for example, FLIR isn't something you need to learn to use; it's not slewable or a sensor you can designate. But Hotspot detection can really save the day when finding targets for DMT, which has a fixed zoom. But those things can be learned naturally just by going out and setting objectives to cover. You only have 10 descrete target points, T0 being reserved for the current sensor designation. You can set or overwrite them at any time using the TOO function; change the number on the UFC scratchpad before hitting ENT. Deletion of points, be them Way, Mark or Target (and CAS messages) isn't really a thing. Edited April 27, 2023 by Ich Dien
exhausted Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 You can initiate your dive from a lower speed, use airbrake and even nozzles to control speed before you stabilize and fire.
