  1. 1. Do you think we should switch SD-10 to new scheme API used by AIM-120C now?

lol ok then... If it was notched, the missile should just keep going where it was going, my guess is it was still receiving guidance from datalink, and the INS was off a bit. If the radar turns on, it shouldn't continue to receive from datalink.

not with the Amraams... I observed that behavior with AIM-120s in the past.

plus, the guy who youre fighting is probably one of the best single pilots i know, he definetely notched that.

I have 600GB in skins in my Saved Games. 200GB of that is probably made by myself.

No, what you're seeing here is a lack of the most basic split-s detection and mitigation logic.  This sort of logic is known to be available since the AIM-7F at least.

The amraam does not stop receiving datalink updates if the missiles radar turns on.

It receives them but it ignores them - either permanently or perhaps starts obeying them again if track is lost.  The last part isn't specified.

Are you referring to the real missile or the in game one?

Real.  What the in-game one does at the point of losing track I don't know.

Great . but once you did this, you will not pass the check of " pure client" . For example, you can not login into Growlling Sidewinder's severe if you did this even if you have installed the newest patch.

In other words, no you cannot use this mod in integrity-checked servers, so you cannot have a PL-12 there.

Server admin can edit mission loadout, afterwards clean unmodified client can use it.

PL 12 is not a mod  and PL -12 has been constantly assessed and updated over the past several patches of DCS . No sure why some severe still think PL 12 break the integrity.

No, the Anti-Cheat-system is called "integrity-check"

And technically it is a mod, as you normally would have no access to it without modifying your game.

You can still use it in 4ya

So is there yet a clear verdict regarding the SD10 with AIM120C API?

PL-12 is just an interim mod to test and will most likely not stay, as it is not used on the JF-17  in real life. Focus should be to get the SD10 where it needs to be.

As for beefing up the J-11A with PL-12 it’s another discussion. Good for variety and Redfor multiplayer diversity, but maybe a bit of a stretch in terms of simulation?

Why not, I would prefer to release the PL-12 as a useable official weapon in DCS for the Jeff.
The JF17 is also in use by China as „FC-1“ with pl 12 so why not have it in DCS.

IMHO: strongly no. PL-12 at present is even more unreliable than AMRAAM from one year ago. It exhibits strange behaviors and switching SD-10 to this API would not be good for Jeff.

Someone earlier posted  that PL-12 has kill ration better than SD-10 on one of the servers. It would be interesting to examine situations.

Pictures were posted with J-11A carrying PL-12, so likely not so unrealistic.

I would keep the SD-10 API

@uboats i would recommend doing a new vote

Yup, and I have no doubt it is an J-11A

They probably swapped the computer from the R-77 to the PL-12 data
Theoretically the Su-27 doesn't know what the R-77 is.
It thinks it is an R-27ER which is why the missile alarm goes off directly after launch.

I recall that uboats mentioned that the J-11A don't carry PL-12 in service. Maybe only for testing purposes? Otherwise it would already be standard weaponry for the module.
Anyways, I'll leave it at "plausible" 🙂

The picture last of the J-11A with pl-12 are only from this year.
