Habu_69 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Any way in the P-51 to know the remaining bullets, other than being aware of the time the trigger is pressed?
Gunfreak Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Depending on squadrons, fighter groups and pilots. Many choose to not use tracers except for the last 5 seconds or so of ammo. To let the pilot know they were almost empty. But not something we can do in game. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Theodore42 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 From AAF Manual 51-127-5 : Quote This manual isn't intended to give you instructions in gunnery, but here's a tip- before you take off on a gunnery mission, be sure your guns are correctly loaded and charged, and that you know how fully loaded they are. There's no way of counting the number of rounds once you're in the air. The 4 inboard guns have 400 rounds and the two outboard guns have 270. So when you run outta ammo on the outboard guns you have 130 rounds left in each remaining gun. 1
grafspee Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Quite odd for me to have so much more ammo in 2 outboard guns compare to inboard 4 guns. After inner guns runs out , outboard guns still has ammo but fire power is reduced to 33%.
