Dear ChillNG,

I'm not much of a forum user, but after finishing this campaign, i couldn't resist not giving you credits.

You have done an amazing job with this campaign, and it was a real pleasure to finish it. I think it is even replayable at times since you can get back and aim for the 100 points in mission where you missed something.

The key points of this success in my opinion are:

- storyline was excellent and all the pre-mission documentation spot on

- the idea of optional side missions especially those not briefed

- the challenge of each mission yet giving options to help when unable to spot a target or missed it or just skip it while still being able to continue on the campaign

- i have definitely became a much better pilot in the A-10, especially defensively

- the radio plan and the voice sets - spot on and immersive ; i could probably say that i would have preferred the same complexity of radio chatter implemented in the airfield OPS but that's just me.

- without any real military experience, i can say the campaign shows how important the A-10 was in the ground wars, based on the novels i read

Great job to you and all the team involved in this project.

Looking forward for OCN

Cheers

Thanks very much for the great feedback, great to hear you enjoyed the campaign.  Hopefully you'll find OCN raises the bar again, and you'll also find a much more detailed ATC system to get stuck into!

Rather than start a new thread.....

Just finished the campaign. Really, really enjoyed it, great storyline with challenging missions (12 perhaps a bit too challenging 😄). Up there with the best of them. Thank you for all your work @ChillNG.

Looking forward to climbing back in the F-18 for OCN.

Since I just finished the campaign, I'll tag onto this thread as well...

I enjoyed this campaign a lot.
The story was engaging and voice acting excellent.
I did cheat a bit with invincible and occasional active pause because I haven't flown the A-10 in a long time and I'm rubbish at dodging SAMs. That turns campaigns more into an interactive movie without frustrating repeats.
The missions were fun and I can see how you've evolved and improved your mission design with your later campaigns.
I do like the optional secondary objectives and side missions based on remaining fuel, weapons, time and stress levels.
As with your other campaigns, I do like the optional radio chatter even if not realistic.
Thanks for making this campaign. I'm probably most looking forward to another Harrier campaign in South Atlantic.

Misc feedback from my play-though:

1) PDF documentation does not tell of aircraft load out.
In game doc does. Would have been nice to see in advance when reading the mission briefing that way.
2) Not sure if behavior is as documented, but I like the scoring or acceptable failure of the newer campaigns
where not observing correct ATC or startup is merely a point loss, not a mission failure.
I did follow most instructions, so never put it to the test.
3) Would have liked less locked down map options so player could enable player location on map if desired.
With a moving map, it's harder to get lost in the A-10. I probably would have enjoyed watching other planes and weapons.
4) Minor documentation inconsistency
  eg.
Mission 4 has 8,9,10 as 15,20,10 k ft, respectively which seems unusual, expect one is out of order.
Mission 6 shows waypoints labeled 'Alt (k ft)' with both 15 and 15000
5) Several radio static noises that did not stop after radio calls in Mission 6.
6) Mission 8, hard to spot BMP and T72 targets for Pri and Sec objectives.
They are hidden in trees and not visible with IR white/black or EO camera.
Without red dot occasionally visible at close range, I wouldn't have located them at all.
Looking at YouTube of other player, vehicle positions can change and IR showed better contrast in past.
Could relate to engine/movement IR visuals.
7) Inconsistency with making radio calls via F10 vs Space for outgoing calls.
8 ) Mission 14 I think Gunman 1-1 inexplicably crashed near the end, but thankfully didn't affect the mission.
9) Mission 16 Stack is above the clouds, so not possible to maintain altitude slot and spot targets before push.

Forgot to say I quite enjoyed using different air fields through the campaign, and the practicality of moving somewhat closer to the action rather than extending flight times.
