Enabler Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 I am experimenting with the Leo Bodnar BBI-32 and the BBI-12 rotary switches. I love that the rotary is capable with 2 wires. It is connected through the BBI-32 board. Which is awesome as there is no coding needed. However there is a problem. The rotary works. BUT it bounces. This is very bad especially on the Viper INS switch. Is there a way to debounce this switch since there is no coding through this board? No1sonuk Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Do you have any small capacitors? Could try putting one across the two pins. Also, email the company. They might have some ideas. 1
notproplayer3 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 (edited) Like No1sonuk said above, caps are a good idea. If you want another potential alternative, reducing the polling frequency of the switch (in software or physically if there is a clock somewhere) is a crude but simple fix in my experience. Perhaps you could check if there is a way to change the polling frequency of the usb device in your OS. Edited June 19, 2023 by notproplayer3 Full fidelity su27/mig29 ?
Enabler Posted June 26, 2023 Author Posted June 26, 2023 I have been in contact with Bodnar about this. I demonstrated the bounce to them and they said it shouldn’t happen. They modded a few of these for me to test but haven’t arrived you. We’ll see… GD ViperWorks - YouTube F-16CM Block 50 Replica Sim Pit Construction

I don't know the size but they are smd and bridge the gap between the pos and neg pads. 1 GD ViperWorks - YouTube F-16CM Block 50 Replica Sim Pit Construction
