GunnerFlyboy Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I'm not sure how it happened but I think having the freeware F-15E control mappings somehow screwed up the RAZBAM F-15E default control mappings. I know this as I can't map certain F-15E stick and other functions like Nose Wheel Steering. The WSO control mappings are there there is no F-15E "Pilot" controls other than what I programmed for the old aircraft (basically the FC F-15C mappings). I tried a repair but it didn't help. Any advice on how to get the default Razbam mappings would be greatly appreciated. I assume the culprit would be located somewhere in Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config\input\F-15E\ - quit DCS, delete that folder, restart DCS and see if the problem is gone. More generally, when problems arise, make sure to uninstall any mods from your Saved Games\DCS.openbeta directory. For a quick test, you can rename that entire directory, launch DCS again and see if the problem is gone (all your personal settings will be gone, but you can later delete the new Saved Games\DCS.openbeta, rename your old one back, and everything will be restored). If so, you can then check which individual mod or file causes the problem, so that you can keep the rest. Good luck! Edited June 23, 2023 by Yurgon

GunnerFlyboy Posted June 23, 2023 Author Posted June 23, 2023 Well that didn't work, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module as well. Any other ideas? Morat Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Will there be any default options for the most popular hardware? Unbinding multiple axes so you don't roll into the ground on takeoff is getting dull!

Sorry, no. Repair and/or completely renaming Saved Games\DCS or Saved Games\DCS.openbeta should remove all custom user-installed changes and should restore all defaults.
GunnerFlyboy Posted June 24, 2023 Author Posted June 24, 2023 Strange, I renamed the directory for the 2nd time after a repair and uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft and I can now map the controls. Weird.
