Tshark Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 A flying buddy and I have run into a problem when repairing aircraft. We were flying a mission in the Normandy 2 map at Saint Pierre Du Mont. In P-47s, once the repair is complete, it drops the aircraft onto the surface damaging the gear. Using Spitfires in the same mission the repair works as normal and sets us down gently. This is consistent both in multi-player and single player. I attached a file showing the issue. server-20230626-123727.trk 1 9800X3D (5.21GHz Turbo), MSI RTX 4090 OC 24GB, ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING Motherboard, G. In case of P-47 with broken landing gear, one has to retract landing gear (put a lever in correct position, no worry if it actually retracts or not) and ask for repair. Repair will be performed, Landing gear will be lowered automatically after the repair is done, and then aircraft will be placed on AF "gently". My best regards. See you on 4Ya Overlord 1
Tshark Posted June 30, 2023 Author Posted June 30, 2023 Thanks for taking a look at this. In the track I sent, I used a folded gear for repair, but the bug exists even when the landing gear is in perfect condition, down/locked, and there is a different item to repair. On the track I did have the gear handle in the correct position. 1 9800X3D (5.21GHz Turbo), MSI RTX 4090 OC 24GB, ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING Motherboard, G. timjulius1122 Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 I think You're experiencing a unique issue with the P-47 in the Normandy 2 map where it falls and damages its gear post-repair. It may be a game glitch or physics system issue. Check for game updates and contact the support team or community, Also, ensure your game client and system software are updated. 1
Tshark Posted July 14, 2023 Author Posted July 14, 2023 Thanks for the reply. Yes, it appears to be a terrain elevation problem that only affects the P-47. All files are updated and I have posted this on multiple DCS forums with the track file. All I can do now is wait for a solution. 1 9800X3D (5.21GHz Turbo), MSI RTX 4090 OC 24GB, ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING Motherboard, G. Pilpoil65 Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 I experience the same thing, a fix would be nice.
