DimSim Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) Autostart can fail to complete. Expected behavior: Press autostart key and get the jet from cold start to ready to taxi state. Actual behavior: Part way through autostart, sequence ends with failed ground air message. Work around: Press autostart a 2nd time. The sequence completes successfully on the 2nd attempt. This has occurred every time for the last 3 flights for me. So highly reproducible I believe. Version: Beta, MT, v2.8.6.41363 Edited July 8, 2023 by DimSim

Flappie Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Please reproduce your problem in a single player mission, exit, record the track and attach it here. ---
Solution =475FG= Dawger Posted July 8, 2023 Solution Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) Do not open the radio menu or the rearm/refuel menu until the second engine air message is verbalized in the autostart. It screws with the autostart. It is because the autostart is calling the ground crew to do things and having that menu open prevents those things from happening. My custom autostart script for the F-5 has a message reminding the user "DO NOT REARM/REFUEL" until the second engine is cranking. Once that second motor is rolling you can do what you like Edited July 8, 2023 by =475FG= Dawger 1 1
DimSim Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 Thank you folks, that was the issue... rearming or refueling conflicts with the ground crew startup operations. I now do recall reading or hearing that before. It would be great if the official auto start script could be updated like @=475FG= Dawger to remind user of this conflict. Rearming and refueling and auto start are all reasonable actions a player may do.
