The internal report basically says the RWR R-3R launch warning cannot be heard in a congested radar environement. And Magnitude has already acknowledged the internal report. I guess that means they believe a RWR should be able to detect a R-3R missile being guided towards it.

Well this concludes the topic. I just hope we do not find they were wrong.

Remember, everything is subject to change.

If we find a precise information, we can bring it to ED and third parties so they change it. It's a sim, we're not playing an arcade milsim.

I think we can safely say this radar manual from 1972 uploaded to the Internet Archive in 2020 is Rule 1.16-compatible: https://archive.org/details/RP-21_Sapfir_radar_technical_manual/RP-21M -MA technical description/

The problem is I can't read Polish.

The issue with this document is RP-21 variants couldn’t carry R-3R or any other SARH missile. It could carry the Beam riding RS-2US, but I doubt the operation is similar. So I really am not sure even if we were to translate it, we would find an answer.

Some really nice info in it though, including how ECCM was mechanized for that radar.
