Mandellorian Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 As title. When landing and repairing on an MP server i noticed that i was no longer displayed on the F10 map after taking off, the AI didn`t react to either my presence or my weapons, flying blindly into STT missile launches. A quick straw poll of players indicated i was no longer showing up on datalink either. Respawning at the base fixed the issue.
Solution Flappie Posted July 21, 2023 Solution Posted July 21, 2023 (edited) This was not caused by the landing and repair. You got a hit and the server determined (for some reason) that your aircraft was destroyed, while part of your DCS client thinks the aircraft is stll flyable (and it is, actually). Devs are working on fixing these issues , but some are aircraft-specific. What aircraft were you flying? Edited July 21, 2023 by Flappie 1 ---
Mandellorian Posted July 23, 2023 Author Posted July 23, 2023 F-18 Hornet. I hadn`t taken a hit, i lost my nose door when i was climbing out after takeoff and the MP stutter bug made an appearence resulting in an overspeed. I wouldn`t have bothered with a repair if it hadn`t disabled my weapons.
Flappie Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 The Hornet should be fixed in the next OB. Some other aircraft still need some work. Once the next patch comes in, if you're still able to reproduce this issue, please tell me about it. 1 ---
Mandellorian Posted August 25, 2023 Author Posted August 25, 2023 (edited) New patch, same issue only now its affecting SU-27s, J-11s and F-18 hornets. Targets that are affected vanish off JTIDS,RADAR ,RWR and F10 map making them significant threats in multiplayer as the only way to see them coming is visually. Edited August 25, 2023 by Mandellorian
Shot Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Had the same or similar issue last week in the F15E. After losing half of a wing, I was no longer visible on the map. I managed to land and repair but did not become visible on the map again. Did not try whether the AI is seeing me or not, but not being visible on the map might be related to that issue?
