I've noticed that the amount of data that I may post in these forums is dwindling to near zero. While I write this, the "max total size" (I assume for attachments) is currently now at "79.38 kB". So, should I try to post a screenshot or similar as a response to some kind soul asking a question, I assume that I'll soon be hitting zero. My questions:

  • What happens when I get to zero?
  • More importantly, should I get there and it turns out that I no longer can post, what is your recommended procedure to reclaim space?

Thank you for any hints,

-ch

You won't be able to attach anything anymore

Go to your attachments and delete unused ones to free up space.

Thank you!

A bit disappointing, as most if that will be either artwork I use for missions I submit to the community, or images I use to illustrate things they ask about.

I guess I shall delete them out of those discussions.

Thanks again for the tip.

If you delete those, do they get deleted from the posts? Or is it merely some sort of cash, and can be safely deleted?

Confirmed. I just deleted some 15 MB of old demo missions and images, and they are now missing from the posts, replaced by a broken link placeholder.

For screnshots I prefer to use Imgur, which afaik is limit-less .. extra steps to post, but allows me to leave ED's space just for files:
