Flappie Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 (edited) Hi Pluton. When writing in French , please open a thread in the French speaking users section, here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/29-francais/ You can simply copy-paste any DCS installation folder ("DCS World" or "DCS World OpenBeta") from one drive to another. It will work. The only things that will no longer work are your DCS shortcuts. You'll need to edit them. Edited August 6, 2023 by Flappie 1 ---
PLUTON Posted August 6, 2023 Author Posted August 6, 2023 Thank you Mr Flappie excuse me I had translated it I had to copy paste the wrong side of google translation. Thank you for the answer, when you say that the shortcuts will no longer work it also includes all the settings of the joystik and trottle? 1

Your settings are stored at the /Saved Games/ folder, so they are not affected by this move. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

No ... the /Saved Games/ is a special windows folder, don't attempt to move it by copy paste ... follow these instructions: 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

PLUTON Posted August 7, 2023 Author Posted August 7, 2023 Apparently I have to return the ssd disk because it looks defective (because once installed in the tower it is well recognized in the bios, it is on enabled but windows does not recognize it and by right clicking on the disk in disk management it is marked not allocated and on on the net they say that when a disc cannot be rented it is that it is defective, so I sent an email to the seller to see what he will tell me. I will come back to follow up on this little problem. GOOD FLIGHT PILOTS

Hello, Its hard to say from just your description, maybe your disk is defective ... let me show you how I manage new drives on my Windows: 1) This is a small external drive, it already has data: I will delete its current volume ("Vol 1"), by righ clicking on it and selecting "Eliminar" (Delete) 2) This is what an empty drive looks like: 3) To create a new volume, I right click on the unassigned area and select "New Simple Volume", like this: The new simple volume wizard automatically starts: Follows its prompts and give the volume a name: The volume will be created and formatted with NTFS fil system, it will take a few seconds, afterwards it should look like this: Now, tell me if this sequence is the same you get? 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
