lwalter Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 The following actions don't disengage the autopilot for me, although they're supposed to: - paddle switch (yes, I checked the binding was fine) - alt flaps extended I was wondering if others have the same issue, and then is it really an issue or just missing feature for now? iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, i7 4 GHz, 32 GB RAM, AMD R9 M395X 4 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog | Cougar MFD | MFG Crosswind | EDTracker Pro | Realteus ForceFeel DCS World | Bf109 | Fw190 A8/D9 | P47 | P51 | Spitfire | I16 | C101 | L39 | F86F | MiG15 | MiG19 | MiG21 | FC3 | A10C | AJS37 | AV8BNA | F5 | F14 | F16 | F/A18 | M2000 | JF17 | Christen Eagle | Yak52 | SA342 | UH1H | Mi8 | Ka50 | Combined Arms | NS430 | Persian Gulf | Normandy | Channel | Syria | NTTR | WWII Assets
Solution VarZat Posted August 17, 2023 Solution Posted August 17, 2023 Paddle switch only temporarily disables the A/P. 1 1
darkman222 Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Paddleswitch disengages temporarily and afaik updates desired altitude to be held after release. If you get close to stall spreed or pull high Gs the autopilot will also disengage automatically. Why someone would use alt flaps in normal operation, I dont know. But maybe it should disengage if you used them. 1

Posohm Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) There should be a caution though when the AP disengages ( i.e. can´t hold altitude or attitude). Currently this does not occur. Edited September 2, 2023 by Jestr
Alpiinoo Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 (edited) If A/P disconnect, FLCS Fault caution light and the FLCS A/P FAIL (on Pilot Fault List) message will activate. But in DCS we don't get any warnings. Is PFL WIP? dcs.log AP.trk Edited September 7, 2023 by Alpiinoo
