TheGhostOfDefi Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Hello, is it possible to turn gps off so that drift becomes a thing as well as in the F-14 & F-15? As I tested it in the ME with a date somewhere in WW2 the 16 behaved the same as before. Any tips & tricks? Thanks in advance

In the F-16 you can currently check if GPS is available on the FIX page of the DED (as the actual GPS page isn't implemented yet): You can also just disable the GPS receiver on the F-16 by setting the GPS switch to OFF on the system panel on the right side. Without GPS, the INS will not be able to automatically update its position and will start to drift over time (you will notice waypoints aren't exactly where they are supposed to be anymore), requiring manual nav fixes in order to keep the INS accurate. darkman222 Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) As he says. Change the mission date before 1994. I have done some INS drift testing in this thread, in case youre interested: Results are pretty much summed up in this video: Edited August 21, 2023 by darkman222 2 1
