Adrian858 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Absolutely loving the new Copy Settings in the Mission Editor, it's made life so much easier for setting specific payloads and certain properties between aircraft. One super time consuming aspect to the mission editor, especially when you have a plethora of aircraft in the mission, is placing waypoints. With the newly added Copy Settings, I would love to see the ability to copy a units waypoints to other aircraft, rather than having to individually place them for each group. I've attached a screenshot of what this could potentially look like in the Copy Settings section. 5 Corsair Vengeance C-70 (OD), EVGA Z370 FTW, i7-8700k, Noctua NH-D15, RTX 4070ti TUF OC, Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, Samsung SSD 970 Pro NVMe M.2 1TB & 990 Pro NVMe M.2 2TB , WD Black 4TB Perf HDD - 7200 RPM SuperNOVA 750W P2 Modular, ASUS ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 TM Warthog, TM F/A-18C Grip, TM Pendular Rudder Pedals, VPC CM3 Base, VPC Rotor TCS Base, VPC Apache-64, VPC Control Panel 1, WinWing PTO 2, Cougar MFD's, TekCreations F/A-18C Master Arm, Koolertron Keypad, Meta Quest 3 A-10C/II - AH-64D - AV-8B - CH-47F - F-4E - F-5E - F-14 - F-15E - F-16C - F/A-18C - OH-58D - P-51D - Bf-109K4 - FC3 - UH-1H - Combined Arms - Super Carrier Afghanistan - Nevada - Normandy - Persian Gulf - Sinai - Syria

Adrian858 Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 (edited) I've been updating all of my missions for the F-4 over the last few days, and as I have been tediously (like most mission makers) adding and dragging new waypoints over the existing ones from other aircraft, I was thinking of another solution to make this less cumbersome to mission makers. What about an option to make Waypoints out of Triggers? Example: Place a Trigger Zone and Name it WP 1 (and so on) Place an Aircraft and in the "Route" tab, you'd have another box (with add, insert, edit, etc). When clicking "add" you see a list of waypoints (trigger zones) from the list. Add the triggers you desire to the list, and lines are drawn automatically based on the order that they are in. "Copy Settings" as mentioned in the first post, would be a godsend with a system like this, where waypoints don't have to be dropped and dragged tediously every time you create a mission with multiple aircraft. Additional options to set altitude, name, etc. Edited May 30, 2024 by Adrian858 Corsair Vengeance C-70 (OD), EVGA Z370 FTW, i7-8700k, Noctua NH-D15, RTX 4070ti TUF OC, Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, Samsung SSD 970 Pro NVMe M.2 1TB & 990 Pro NVMe M.2 2TB , WD Black 4TB Perf HDD - 7200 RPM SuperNOVA 750W P2 Modular, ASUS ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 TM Warthog, TM F/A-18C Grip, TM Pendular Rudder Pedals, VPC CM3 Base, VPC Rotor TCS Base, VPC Apache-64, VPC Control Panel 1, WinWing PTO 2, Cougar MFD's, TekCreations F/A-18C Master Arm, Koolertron Keypad, Meta Quest 3 A-10C/II - AH-64D - AV-8B - CH-47F - F-4E - F-5E - F-14 - F-15E - F-16C - F/A-18C - OH-58D - P-51D - Bf-109K4 - FC3 - UH-1H - Combined Arms - Super Carrier Afghanistan - Nevada - Normandy - Persian Gulf - Sinai - Syria

You could more easily use the 'drawing' tools to create the path from line segments and then use some scripting to read that path and generate waypoints for aircraft at the start of the mission.
