I already use those nudge keys. Thank you.

Really boresight should be automatic or semi-automatic. Unless a player with VR set ot TrackIR wants to be manual. Should just  be a cold start checklist.

Bring up WPN page

Press Boresight

Press IHADSS

Press center.

There is no need to player nudging. We are  not sitting in real Apache pit with real monocle.

The procedure is correct, but it's aggravating. It's significantly easier in the real aircraft. A user option wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Thank you for your feedback but the procedure is correct and we have no plans for changing it.

Yes. But a little common sense here. A pre-flight walkaround of the aircraft is a correct procedure. But its not practical in a desktop sim. Though I badly emulate it using F2 exterior view just to look A/C over.

Same goes for 'Red Tag' sale. When ground crews remove arming flags from weapons and show it to pilot prior to taxi or engine start. I am certain that DCS players would appreciate that detail. As they would seeing ground crew scuring around their aircraft when prompted for re-arm re-fuel. As would many appreciate being told by ATC which parking spor to taxi to , and seeing ground crew plane captain directing them . All those are correct procedures, but they are not critical to realism of the sim.

Making the boresight center process semi-automatic would not detract from realism of the sim. For those users who choose not use a VR set or TrackIR.

A Special Option of 'Automatic Boresight Center'  would be good enough.

Well thats my view.

Thank you.

Agreed.  An option to automate the process would be helpful.

In the meantime, the saved Snap View is the best answer.

  1. Bring up WPN page
  2. Press Boresight
  3. Press IHADSS
  4. Hold down Snap View button
  5. Press BS NOW
  6. Release Snap View button

Yes, it takes a few minutes to set it up the first time, but then you avoid the hassle for each cold start going forward.
