Nice you received yours. I am still waiting. And you have the one with MR cameras, which adds to the weight.

The only thing I am afraid of is that it will be too heavy, especially too front heavy. Not intending to do MR, so I did not order the extra cameras.

Let us know how the wearing comfort is, especially considering the weight distribution.

who are you and how did you get this?

They aren't shipping yet and don't have certs for electronic whatever last I heard (like yesterday) which was delaying shipments as I recall..

Also if you could post a 3rd picture of it on a tile counter top at a different angle with a spoon on top ill take you seriously but with 1 post I'm assuming this is just a pic you found or a tester sent you.

Give @Gun Jam the spoon pic. Otherwise it’s a fraud and I can’t be convinced otherwise.

Thanks for your comments TZigy. First hand accounts are always valuable. As a current Aero owner I am not suffering at the moment but I am starting to think about the next steps and the VR1, XR4 and Crystal Super are all on my radar... with the VR1 probably being the most "real" at the moment.

Tzigy... Did they happen to mention the PC specs they were using for the demo? Did you get to talk to others who were trying it?    ...Thanks

Srry , did not check this thread for a while! Don't remember re the specs.  Talked to couple people there, they were fairly impressed.

VRFSG posted an actual first impressions. Most note worthy is the introduction to the software. This is looking encouraging for those of us who dice rolled on the preorder.

Is a spoon a tableware spoon?
As Mr. @evanswillo says, I'm setting up the SOMNIUMVR1 that RAZBAMJAPAN will exhibit at TGS2024.
The headset is located in the office in Tokyo, so I can only upload existing photos now  Sory.

I'm working hard to set it up for the TGS2024 exhibition.

I've only been using it for 5~6 hours yet, but I'll also include a comparison with MetaQuest 3.

The pay-as-you-go distribution feels quite front-heavy.
My forehead hurts.

I use it i9 & RTX4090, and the image quality is very clear and the FPS is stable at 90Hz.

The contrast ratio was high, the image was very clear, and the fine text on the instrument was clearly visible.

I hope you find it helpful.

Have you tried it out? Does it feel uncomfortable or front heavy after a few minutes?

EDIT: I see that it is uncomfortable. I guess the question now is, do you see a way for this to be solved perhaps with a counter weight or different strap design. Does the current design for the head strap feel like it could fit better? What are the issues with it?

VRFSG is posting a video soon using the stock strap with Apache Strap and Counterbalance weights on the back. He’s also testing it with a Bobo VR strap (halo style). I think this will help to clarify options to make it more comfortable for long sessions if one finds it front heavy (it is, no way around that, it’s obvious from the design alone)…he’s long said it’s front heavy to him and not comfortable for long sessions, even though the final version is improved from prior pre-production versions he had.

The unit VFRSG is reviewing is the fully loaded MR version, those MR cameras are really HighQ, therefore do add some weight to the HMD, I have ordered the TITAN ET/HT version so hopefully weight will not be a major issue, but good to see other Headset straps being tested.

Yeah, I’m not that worried about it bc I only got the eye tracking one…and I’ve been lugging Pimax headsets on my face since 2017, so I’m used to not feeling like as a feather.

I got the one with the Cameras... the fully loaded deal so yeah im going to have to figure out how to make it work. I went into this fully expecting it to be a 90% product leaving the last 10% (the hard part) to be solved by the end user before its a viable product so im trying to get as much info about possible solutions to all the issues so I have at least some base point to work off of to guide the last part of its development.

I'm curious what was the audio setup for this exhibition?  just a set of earbuds plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack?  I've got one of these headsets on order (not expecting it until Nov/Dec I suppose) so I'm trying to line up my audio solution in advance... 🤔

I was looking at the logitech Chorus offear speakers. But this seems pointless now until I figure out how to handle the headstrap issue. If you think you'll be using the stock headstrap take a look at the chorus they seem interesting.

Right on - good suggestion thanks.  I did get the one that has eye & hand tracking and the MR cameras which i think makes it the heaviest of the bunch so I’m fairly certain I’ll be looking at some type of extra support and/or counterbalance option… I guess we’ll see tho

EDIT - just checked that Logitech Chorus… that is a pretty sweet looking option if I’m completely honest… would be perfect to make something that work if the strap and a mounting option could be 3D printed or something for the side of the VR1… definitely going to keep the option on the radar

Early 70's, orders now depend on location and variant.

What versions are people looking at and where are you located.

Oh yeah thats right only the first 100 got a number right? I got my number on oct 11.

if we use this as an estimate I suspect It's likely they are shipping no more than 3 units a day. Despite having what I thought was an early number I should have mine by april....or may.
