Extranajero Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I have a strange issue. Sometimes - enough times to be really annoying - the ABRIS map doesn't appear. It may display after a few seconds, a few minutes, or in very rare cases it doesn't at all. I have now removed any mods ( except Reshade ) and repaired DCS, but that hasn't helped. So far it only seems to be an issue with MT. The weird thing is that I thought I had captured a track of this happening, but when I replayed the track, the ABRIS worked as it should. I have no idea why that is. Anyone got any ideas ? 1 --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe
Flappie Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 I cannot reproduce this issue so far. If you can, please save the track and attach it here. ---

Thanks for taking the time. I just reviewed the track and once again, the ABRIS map showed up. But when I recorded the track, it didn't appear at any point. MortalMando Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I can confirm - happens to me as well. The map loads in at some point though. Do you also have problems with the symbology on the ABRIS not scaling with the map or vice versa? 1

I did have, but I think that I have cured the map scaling issue by setting Padlock to on in the mission editor, that's the temporary fix from ED via Flappie. That hasn't affected the maps delayed appearance though --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe
Flappie Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Please attach your options.lua file (from Saved Games/DCS.../Config). It might help me reproduce the issue. ---
Extranajero Posted September 23, 2023 Author Posted September 23, 2023 I appreciate your help, here's the file options.lua 1 --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe
Flappie Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) Guess what? I reproduced the issue straight away after using your options (minus the screen resolution). I then took a screenshot and, bang!, the map appeared on the ABRIS. I have a feeling it might be caused by UI scaling. I'll compare the differences in our options.lua until I find the culprit. The issue happens only once, right after the game is started. I needed to restart the game to have the bug back. This will make things harder, but I'll make it through. Flappie Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 It's very hard to determine exactly what causes this. But one's thing is for sure: now, I'm able to see it on my PC. 1 ---

That's good news, thanks a lot - Edit :- I set the GUI scaling to 1 and the problem was still happening Edited September 24, 2023 by Extranajero --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe
