cannot repoduce and missing track file Stuck in Auto shutdown mode

I have the F 16 viper and am just starting out.   When I go to instant action and choose Free Flight mode I fly for about 10 sec the Auto shutdown mode begins and within 30 sec. I am flying a shut down plane.  The engine and all readouts including the HUD are off and I begin to drop.  Even the canopy comes off.

Not sure what is going on or how to change it.

Check your throttle isn't going into the cutoff position and check for any unwanted key assignements on your joystick to any aircraft systems.

I cannot reproduce the behaviour you're describing. 
Like @razo+rsuggested, check your keybinds for conflicts.

I checked all my keybindings and nothing is assigned to Auto Shutdown

This what I get with the Hornet    It works fine. its only with F 16 that I have the problem.

I would rename your controls directory in your saved games folder and try again.  This really seems like a binding issue and while you can't see one this would help confirm there isn't something hidden in it causing you the issue.

I agree, but if it's only the F-16 that has issues, only that folder need to be renamed.
