Hi ,

I would like to know IRL how did the pilots to send a bullseye position or communicate about it ? It will be handy.

I suppose in DCS we have to put a known point relative to the bullseye but....how to extract this position without a reference point in flight?

I hope our beloved Viggen will become better and better ( i till think about the jammer filter for example)^^

Thx

I don't think they used Bullseye IRL. Viggens were intended for pre-planned strikes, so there wasn't much use for Bullseye.
Afaik, Bullseye is a rather early concept that was introduced by the USAF during the Vietnam war, while the USN wasn't really adopted to it as late as the first Gulf War. So I would be really surprised if the Swedes used Bullseye during Viggen times, especially as the Viggen's mission set is not really sutied for it.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

As a workaround you could place a Bx point (Bx1-5) at bullseye. Any time you need to refer to it, set that point as your destination and look at the distance and bearing. Convert to reciprocal heading, and divide the km distance roughly in half (0.54) to get nmi.

"Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."
