no bug My Local Server Listed Twice

My Hollo Pointe server is listed twice.  Never saw this before. 

Server version: 2.8.8.43704

Client version: MP Preview 2.8.8.43704

See the screenshot from my Client computer -- my Hollo Pointe server is listed twice in the Multiplayer window; both computers are on the same LAN.  The new listing shows my USA Flag with a ping of 2.

The MP lobby lists servers from both the Internet and your local network, which is why you're seeing it twice.

Other players will only see one (unless you invite them at your house to play).

Hi Flappie.  Never saw this before...  Used to be, I would only see the one instance that did not include the USA Flag.  Seems this started in the last update.  I am on v2.8.8.43704

I've run a DCS server for ~20 years..

   If it is on your LAN you won’t see the region flag, only external users will.

   I’ll send you a link to a suggestion I had for ED to make the region selection a set of checkboxes so we could select say LAN, NA, EU and leave Asia and Oceania out.

I've been hosting for 15 years and it's always been that way for me. I don't consider it as a bug.

Maybe there's a way to see only Internet servers by modifying some config file, but I'm not aware of such trick.

This issue is no longer showing up, where the Hollo Pointe server was listed twice.  Hollo Pointe is listed only once on my Client screen now, and with the USA Flag, too.

If anything, if you're only seeing it twice, you should consider yourself lucky

It's a set of ancient issues that seem to depend on how your router resolves local IPs, on what DCS expects to see as a client, and how it populates server info depending on what's available to it at any time.

So based on that old experience, are you sure you're seeing your server twice, or do you have the issue I had where a different server gets covered up with your local server info? This can be identified by either checking the displayed IP and seeing if they're different (and not LAN IPs), and by the fact that you can join them and end up on different servers. Also can you check what happens if you set the server to use a non-default port? Eg. set it to 10408 rather than 10308, thereby forcing DCS to actually treat the server differently from what's used almost everywhere else in the server list.
