Pipes Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) RIO/WSO here trying to learn to fly the Hornet and having issues. I'm loading up in a single player "ready on the ramp" mission and can't take off properly. The aircraft seems very slow to accelerate. I have flaps at half, wheel brakes off, full burner, and I still gain maybe 5 knots a second. Nose won't get off the ground until ~140 knots, then the plane gets about 50' off the deck before it falls back down to earth. I have tried resetting the FCS and pushing the T/O trim button before takeoff and no change. Seems like I'm just not getting enough power somehow, or my control surfaces are way out of wack. Shouldn't the plane be mostly, if not completely ready for takeoff in these premade missions? Edit- Also tried a fry flight mission where I'm started in the air. Seems like the nose keeps climbing no matter how much trim down I put in. Also can't slow the aircraft down. Throttles at idle, full speed brake, and it won't slow down. Thanks guys. Hi, as mentioned above please ensure you do not have game flight enabled in DCS settings. If you still have issues attach a short track replay showing the problem, you can save a track when you exit the mission during the debrief screen. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
