a couple of changes that happened in the last couple of years suck

A couple changes done over the last couple of years really makes the A10-C II horrible and very difficult for me and others. The MFD as extremely difficult to see and lock on object with the TGP, because the contrast is horrible! A long while back it used to be easy and fun. I don't know which updates ruined this for me and others who also said it is now terrible. We were told some changes in the way some weapons no long use the same fall line to make it more realistic made it a PIA too. Even if there are mods to change things (or change things back to when it was better for us) we might end up having it not pass the server checks. Question: any plans to change the MFD (TGP) camera views both vis and IR and contrast so we can actually see targets clearly?

A lot of this is a training issue.. I know that sucks to hear, but it is.

In real world environments a lot of masking occurs and sometimes targets don't just jump out at you because their temperature is nomilized with their environment.

Using Mark points, talk ons, HMCS, Wild Weasel in some cases, switching color spectrums, and grid searching are the only true ways to draw out a target.

Sorry for the frustration.  If you ever feel you need help training any drills to help with what I just stated, let me know..

It had been much worse, but I'm not seeing this anywhere near as much as it was 6-8 months ago, even in VR (where it had seemed to be the worse than flat screen).

FWIW the incomplete IR textures on a lot of ground units (which was basically an IR cloaking device) has been gradually fixed, at this point I can't recall the last time I saw this (I'm sure there are still some on some rarely used support vehicles)

^ this and it always doesn't hurt but to occasionally delete the old fx shader folder from time to time to make sure it's not loading old textures.
