Bosun Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 For the huey - if you lose your prop and manage to land, the ground effect (dust and vegetation effects) still go on as if it is there. 1
Flappie Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Thanks. This one is reported internally. On holiday
Pyrocumulous Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Rotorwash should be the least of your concerns if you lose the main rotor... but nonetheless, just pointing out that it does continue to appear in DCS. See track and photo below. I'm not positive, but I think there is still some lift being generated (in DCS) after the rotor is knocked off, or at least the helicopter doesn't feel like it is accelerating toward earth as quickly as I would expect if the main rotor is lost. Example is UH-1H, I have not tested others. DCS 2.9.2.49940 Open Beta rotorwash.trk Warthog HOTAS, VMAX Prime Throttle, TPR pedals, Kensington Slimblade Pro, Pimax Crystal, RTX 4090 FE, Asus ProArt X670E-Creator, Ryzen 7950X3D, 64gb DDR5.
Flappie Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) This is exclusive to to the UH-1H and the issue was reported earlier. (posts merged) Edited February 12, 2024 by Flappie 1 On holiday
