Severe Stuttering Caused by SSS - 2.9

I am starting to thing it might be cloud related. Just flew an online server with moderate clouds and it worked ok - very few stutters.

In A2A refueling quick mission on Caucasus map for JF-17, however the stutter is quite bad - needless to say that there are tons of clouds there.

A couple of videos to demonstrate the issue:

I am getting the exact same stuttering in Flat Screen and MT. My SSS is off. My stuttering is worse than Wavehopper's. If I Alt-Tab out of DCS and leave the DCS frame rate monitor visible whilst in task manager I can see the stutter has stopped. As soon as I Alt-Tab back into DCS the stutter begins again. It is happening in the menu screens too just like the second clip above.

If I open DCS in ST and 2D there is no stutter. If I open DCS in MT and VR, I don't get this stutter. This is new behavior in DCS 2.9 MT.

Had a go last night in MP (ST) and it worked quite ok with some very rare occasional stutter. In JF-17 quick mission for a2a refueling, the stutter is horrible, and the only aparent difference are clouds with the latter having tons of them. Everything else is more-less the same - a/c, map, etc.

Edit:

Has nothing to do with clouds. Same server with Ka-50 and the stutter is very heavy.

I can confirm the Core Parking solution solves this problem.  Normal service has resumed.

For me on Windows 10, this made no difference. 😕

whatever update were on now was still having the stutter. The core parking solution did nothing for me. This comment from youtube fixed it for me "You need to launch the DCS in multithreading mod, than start flight on the runway/on the parking apron, pause the game, open task manager, right click on DCS > click on Go to details > right click on Set Affinity > disable half of the cores, click ok > resume game, again pause game, enable all disabled cores and disable other half of cores click ok, resume game, pause game again and enable all of cores click ok resume game and it shoul be working without stutter, for me it's also working whan I only disable and enable the last "

idk if ED has plans to do anything about it if they can but i stopped playing in October and have only just found this solution.

Check my thread - same issue, same solution (hopefully temporary)
