2.9 ST not starting in VR.

Hi all,

With the new 2.9 update im unable to get VR started in ST version but can in MT. And If I start the updater.exe in the bin folder I get loaded into MT. This is unusual and has never happened before. 

 

Has this happened to anyone else?

yes , i have the same error

They changed the updater to start MT in 2.9. You can still start ST using the exe in the bin folder not calling the updater. I got caught out by this.

Opening the game with the dcs.exe file directly does not open it in VR either

yes, exactly, don´t open vr playing dcs.exe directly

I try to put code into icon dcs.exe properties :
-force_enable_VR -force_OpenXR

same result, dont open vr

I try too,  with app Dcs Updater Utility Gui

Same, not open vr

You need double dashes in front of both -force_enable_VR and -force_OpenXR, not single ones.

Like this: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR

Having the same issue. Double dashes in front of target instructions on shortcut, still does not open in VR.
